 Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 09, 2026

QR & Barcode Scanner ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, phone number, or precise location data on our servers.

Camera Data: Our app uses your device's camera solely to scan and recognize QR codes and barcodes in real-time. This processing happens locally on your device. We do not view, record, or transmit your camera feed to any external server.

Diagnostic Data (Google ML Kit): We use Google ML Kit and Google Play Services to provide the scanning functionality. These third-party services may collect limited, non-personal diagnostic data (such as device model, crash logs, and performance metrics) to ensure the app functions correctly and to identify technical issues. This data is used strictly for App Functionality and is not used to track you.

2. App Permissions

To provide the features of this app, we may request the following permissions on your device:

Camera: Required to scan QR codes and barcodes. The app cannot function without this permission.

Storage (Read/Write): Used only if you choose to save a scanned image or export your scan history to a file on your device. We do not access your other personal files or photos.

Flashlight: Used to illuminate the scanning area in low-light conditions.

Vibrate: Used to provide haptic feedback (a short vibration) when a code is successfully scanned.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device for diagnostic purposes. Link to the privacy policy of third-party service providers used by the app:

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your information. We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Since no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. However, since our app processes data locally, your risk is minimal.

5. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
